20 Bishops Square Awarded Best Housing Development

20 Bishops Square has recently won the ‘Best Housing Development’ category at this years Grand Designs Awards hosted by Kevin McCloud.

This project undertaken by the London region of Crispin & Borst, part of VINCI Construction UK, for Clan Botolph LLP involved the design and build of 14 high specification one and two bed apartments over four floors. The development is clad in terracotta baguette style tiles with a sedum roof.

The judges felt that the building deserved the award due to its particular attention to materials. Chosen to reflect the setting of the building, the facing material means that the structure offers a great contemporary response to its historic location in Spitalfields, London.
